PAINESVILLE, Ohio -- Lake Erie women's lacrosse player Julia Kudla (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton) was named the East Coast Conference Rookie of the Week on Monday for the week ending May 2.
Kudla scored eight goals and notched three assists in the Storm's lone game this week, a 22-20 overtime win over visiting Indiana Tech in the Storm's home finale. She scored both of Lake Erie's goals in the overtime periods on free-position shots.
Her 11 points matched a career-high, which she previously set on April 14 against Tiffin. Kudla is currently fourth in the ECC in points per game (4.27) and assists per game (1.45). She is 10th in goals per game (2.82).
It is the second time Kudla has won the award this season and the third time overall for a Storm player.
