Lindenwood Roars Past Storm

ST. CHARLES, MO. – Host Lindenwood University raced out to a big lead and then cruised to a 19-4 victory over the Lake Erie College women's lacrosse team in nonconference action on Sunday (Feb. 26).

The Lions (3-1) scored 22 seconds into the contest and never looked back.  After the Storm (1-1) took a shot on goal on the ensuing possession after the first goal, Lake Erie would face a 9-0 deficit before it had another attack opportunity.

Junior Brittany Rabuano (Auburn, N.Y./Auburn) scored the first goal for Lake Erie and added an assist later in the game.  Sophomore Annie Mendoza (Lansing, Mich./Lansing Catholic), who scored four goals in LEC's win over Colorado Mesa College on Saturday, scored her team-leading fifth goal of the game in the second half.

The Storm is idle until it hosts Colorado Mesa on March 11 in the home opener at Jack Britt Memorial Stadium.
