Storm Looks to Bounce Back Against McKendree (PREVIEW)

STORM HOSTS BEARCATS: The Lake Erie College women's lacrosse team hosts the Bearcats of McKendree University as the Storm looks for their first home victory of the season.

LAST TIME OUT: The Storm were unable to overcome a strong Mercyhurst University team, falling to the Lakers 24-3.  Hana Abu-Kwiek, Samantha Gryba and Mallory Quiggle scored the Storm goals.  Abu-Kwiek and Kayla Corey had two groundballs apiece.  Ashriel West had three draw controls.

OPPOSITION POSITION: The Bearcats are 2-1 heading into a game at the Univertsity of Findlay Saturday (March 22).  Their lone loss came against Grand Valley State University to begin the season.  They most recently defeated the Indiana Institute of Technology 12-11. Hannah Schneider leads the Bearcats with nine goals and 11 points. Amy Porta has made 27 saves in net.

SERIES HISTORY: The teams have met one previous time.  During McKendree's inaugural season last year, the Storm defeated the Bearcats 24-8 in a neutral site game in Grand Junction, Colo.  Ashriel West tallied four goals and an assist while Hana Abu-Kwiek had three goals and an assist.

STORM REPORT: Hana Abu-Kwiek leads the Storm this season with 13 points- 11 of which are goals.  Ashriel West and Samantha Gryba have tallied seven points apiece for the Storm while Emma Miller has six.  Kayla Bohn, Mallory Quiggle, Abu Kwiek and Miller have a pair of assists.  Katie Holden leads the Storm with 16 groundballs.  In net, Holden has made 43 saves.

NEXT UP: The Storm is back on the road, traveling to Lock Haven University on Thursday (March 27).
