Storm Travels to #6 Lock Haven (PREVIEW)

STORM LOOKS FOR SECOND STRAIGHT WIN:  The Storm heads to sixth-ranked Lock Haven University looking for their second straight win Thursday (March 27).

LAST TIME OUT: The Storm defeated McKendree University 15-11 on Sunday (March 23).  Hana Abu-Kwiek and Ashriel West netted four goals and two assists apiece to lead Lake Erie.  Breana Moser and Mallory Quiggle, who also had two assists, tallied two goals while Kayla Bohn, Samantha Gryba and Emma Miller had a goal and assist each.  Abu-Kwiek also led the Storm with four groundballs and three draw controls.  Katie Holden picked up the win in net, making 16 saves. 

OPPOSITION POSITION: The Bald Eagles are 3-2 this season.  In their most recent outing, they defeated Edinboro University 15-6.  Their losses this year have come against third-ranked Limestone College and eighth-ranked Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Chelsea Borrino leads Lock Haven with 27 points on 24 assists. Jessica Pandolf leads the Bald Eagles in goals with 18. Chrissy Buffuto has made 29 saves in net.

SERIES HISTORY: This marks the first meeting between Lake Erie and Lock Haven.

STORM SCOUT:  Hana Abu-Kwiek leads the Storm this season with 19 points and 15 goals.  Ashriel West has tallied 13 points on 10 goals and three assists.  Samantha Gryba is third on the team with eight goals.  Mallory Quiggle is tied with Abu-Kwiek with four assists in addition to her three goals.  Emma Miller and Breana Moser have netted five and four goals apiece.   Katie Holden leads the Storm with 18 groundballs while making 59 saves. 

FORECAST: The Storm travels to Dowling College on Saturday (March 29).
