PAINESVILLE, Ohio—The Lake Erie College women's lacrosse team defeated Ursuline College Sunday (March 13) 13-4 in Painesville.

The Arrows got on the board first, scoring on a free position shot midway through the opening half.  Mallory Quiggle (Lewis Center, Ohio/Olentangy) provided the answer for the Storm off a pass by Anna Spin (Auburn, N.Y./Auburn).  Less than a minute later, Cecilia Spin (Auburn, N.Y./Auburn) scored to give the Storm a 2-1 lead.  After the Arrows had a goal called off for going in the crease, Cecilia Spin scored her second goal, increasing the lead to two.  Anastasia Crawford (Corning, N.Y./Corning Painted Post East) gave the Storm a 4-1 lead off an assist by Anna Spin. Late in the half, Hana Abu-Kwiek (Lewis Center, Ohio/Olentangy Orange) extended the lead to 5-1.  However, the Arrows added a goal before the break to cut the deficit to 5-2 at halftime.

Crawford brought the lead back to four with a goal early in the second half.  Anna Spin scored her first goal of the game minutes later to bring the game to 7-2.  Crawford scored once again off an assist by Spin eight minutes into the second half before the Arrows halted the Storm's run with a goal.  Anna Spin answered for the Storm with her second goal of the game a minute later.  Abu-Kwiek's second goal extended the lead to 10-3.  Crawford continued to light up the scoreboard in the second half, scoring her third goal with 13 minutes remaining.  After a defensive stalemate that lasted ten minutes, Cecilia Spin found the back of the net off an assist from Anna Spin.  After the Arrows scored, Kaci Asper (Syracuse, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse/Onondaga) scored on a bouncer five hole with 90 seconds left, proving to be the final goal of the contest.

The Storm was led by Crawford as she had four goals, three draw controls, two groundballs, and a caused turnover.  Anna Spin and Abu-Kwiek each had two goals in the game.
