Storm Prepped for Game at Gannon (Preview)

PAINESVILLE, Ohio- Following a win in the home opener on Sunday (March 5), the Lake Erie College women's lacrosse team will embark on their first road game as they travel to take on Gannon on Saturday (March 11).

"We are excited to get back out onto the playing field," said Storm head coach Mallory Ferrandiz. "We have been working hard all week on making necessary adjustments. This should be a great test for our team to gauge where we are early in the season.'

Storm Report: The Storm defeated the Notre Dame College 19-2 in the season opener on Sunday. Taylor Mathis led the Storm with five goals in the game. Mallory Quiggle added three goals as 11 different players found the back of the net.

Opposition Position: Gannon enters the matchup with a 1-1 record following a 15-14 win over Saint Leo last week. Leilani King leads the Golden Knights with seven goals.

Series History: The Storm and the Golden Knights have faced off five times since the Storm began the program. Gannon has won all five matchups, including a close 13-12 game at the Britt last year.

Storm Forecast: Lake Erie will host Ursuline College next Wednesday (March 15) in a G-MAC preview.
