Storm Ready for Redhawks (Preview)

PAINESVILLE, Ohio- The Lake Erie College women's lacrosse team will take their five game winning streak on the road to New York as the Storm will play their last non-conference game before GLIAC play. Lake Erie will take on the Roberts Wesleyan College Redhawks on Wednesday (March 29) at 4:00 PM.

Storm Report: The Storm are 5-0 this season after they defeated Alderson Broaddus University 19-3 on Sunday (March 26) at home. Mallory Quiggle (Lewis Center, Ohio / Olentangy) led all scorers with four goals in the game. Anastasia Crawford (Corning, N.Y. / Corning Painted Post East) and Taylor Mathis (Corning, N.Y. / Corning) each scored three goals. Anna Spin (Auburn, N.Y. / Auburn) had three goals and six assists in the contest. Mathis leads the Storm with 18 goals scored this season.

Opposition Position: The Redhawks are 4-4 so far this season. Roberts Wesleyan fell to St. Thomas Aquinas 10-9 in their last contest. Cassley Jackowski is the leading scorer for the Redhawks as she has scored 48 goals this season.

Series History: The Storm and the Redhawks have faced off once before in the series history. Roberts Wesleyan defeated the Storm 13-12 in overtime during the 2015 season.

Storm Forecast: Lake Erie will begin their final season of GLIAC contests with a home game against the University of Indianapolis on April 7th
