PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The Lake Erie College women's lacrosse team will close out the current four-game homestand with two Great Midwest contests this week. The Storm will host the Ursuline College Arrows on Wednesday (April 11) night at 7:00 PM and will play the University of Findlay Oilers on Friday (April 13) at 6:30 PM.
Friday's game against Findlay will also be Faculty and Staff Appreciation Night.
Storm Report: Lake Erie has won seven straight games as they have improved from 0-2 to 7-2 overall. The Storm have a 5-0 record in conference play after they defeated Davis & Elkins 20-2 on Sunday (April 8). Anastasia Crawford (Corning, N.Y. / Corning Painted Post East) and Cecilia Spin (Auburn, N.Y. / Auburn) each had three goals in the win over the Senators. Anna Spin (Auburn, N.Y. / Auburn) leads the Storm with 34 points, 15 assists and 49 points.
Opposition Position: Ursuline is 4-5 overall and 2-2 in the G-MAC this year. The Arrows defeated Alderson Broaddus 20-9 in their last game. Cydney Bartlett is the leading scorer for the Arrows with 35 goals and 48 points. Findlay is 9-2 overall and 5-1 in the G-MAC. In their last game, the Oilers defeated Walsh 18-3 on Sunday (April 8). Brie Caruso and Olivia Sherman each hold the team lead with 30 goals scored.
Series History: Lake Erie is 4-0 against the Arrows in the series. The Storm defeated the Arrows 20-4 last season. Lake Erie is 4-4 against the Oilers in the series after the Storm defeated the Oilers 11-10 in overtime earlier this year.
