(INDIANAPOLIS) – The Lake Erie women's lacrosse team ran into a buzzsaw in the high-octane offense of UIndy on Saturday. The result went the way of the Greyhounds as the Storm fell 26-2. Lake Erie fell to 2-2 on the season while UIndy improved to 4-1.
Chloe Nottingham was the lone goal scorer for the Green and White on the day. She first put the Storm on the board at the 18:37 mark on the rare assist from goalkeeper Harmony Moore. Her second game late in the opening half on a helper from Meagan Maxwell.
The Storm will have a week off before they hit the road for the Mountain State to take on Wheeling Jesuit. Opening draw with the Cardinals is set for 12 p.m. on St. Patrick's Day.
