(WHEELING, W.Va.) – Close games have been favorable to Lake Erie this season, but it was Wheeling Jesuit that was able the pull out the late-game heroics in an 11-9 decision Sunday afternoon. Chloe Nottingham followed with a goal four minutes later on an assist from Meagan Maxwell before Spin scored on another free position shot with 7:21 to go. That set up Riley Heffron to score the equalizer thanks to an assist from Jacquelynn Ho with 5:50 to go in the game.
The Green and White had a couple opportunities to take the lead late, but both attempts at goal were saved by the Cardinal keeper.
