(PHILIPPI, W.Va.) - It was almost Heaven in West Virginia for Lake Erie as it defeated Alderson Broaddus 17-4 to go perfect on the opening weekend of conference play. The Storm improved to 5-4 overall and 2-0 in the G-MAC while the Battlers dropped to 1-10 and 0-3.

It didn't take long for the offense to start rolling as the Green and White opened the game with three goals in the first six minutes. The Battlers eventually scored a pair of back-to-back goals, but afterwards it was all Storm as they closed the half with six goals and opened the second with four to put the game out of reach.

Meagan Maxwell had her best game of the season as she exploded for nine points on four goals and five assists. Six of her points came during the aforementioned 10-0 run. Anna Spin also had a big game with seven points on four goals and three assists.

Chloe Nottingham capped her top weekend with three goals and an assist, while Sydney Gartlitz added three goals herself.

Harmony Moore started the game in goal and picked up the decision before handing the reigns to Mackenzie Levine in the second half. The duo made four saves on the day between them.

The Storm will return to action this Friday when they host fellow G-MAC opponent Walsh. Opening draw is set for 7 p.m.
