PAINESVILLE, OHIO -- The Lake Erie College wrestling team returns to action following an extended break for the Thanksgiving holiday Saturday night (Dec. 1) with a nonconference dual match against Seton Hill University at 7 p.m.

The Storm (2-1) have been off since winning two of three matches at the first Lake Erie Quad of the season on Nov. 17.  The Griffins (2-0) defeated Penn State University-Allegheny on Thursday night at home.

SUPER FAN CONTEST: Head Coach Kevin Hoogenboom and the Storm want to see who the biggest Storm Super Fan is on Saturday night.  There will be a $100 prize for the loudest, wildest dressed (LEC theme) and craziest fan of the night - picked by a special mystery guest judge.

LAST TIME OUT: Lake Erie posted a 2-1 record with wins over Waynesburg University (30-17) and York College (19-18) at the Lake Erie Quad I on Nov. 17.  The Storm also fell to Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference foe Tiffin University, 22-16. Sophomore Ian Ross and freshman Cobey Fehr each went 3-0 on the day while four others picked up two wins apiece. (RECAP)

LEADING THE WAY: Early on this season, the Storm has been led by sophomore 149-pounder Nate Ball with an 11-2 overall mark and freshman 141-pounder Cobey Fehr at 8-1 overall.  Both went 3-0 at the Lake Erie Quad and Ball took home most valuable wrestler honors at the University of Mount Union Invitational.

SERIES HISTORY: This is the third straight year these two teams have met in a regular-season dual meet.  Two seasons ago, the Storm defeated Seton Hill 31-14 in front of a raucous crowd in the first home meet in program history.  That win was also the first dual victory for LEC. Last year the Griffins returned the favor with a 24-18 win at home.

OPPOSITION POSITION: The Griffins are off to an early unbeaten start following their 48-0 win in their home opener two nights ago.  First-year head coach Brian Tucker's squad is led by veteran Zach Benzio, a national qualifier last year at 184 pounds who is competing this year at 174.
