Storm Continues GLIAC Competition Against Tiffin (PREVIEW)

STORM CONTINUES GLIAC COMPETITION AGAINST TIFFIN: Lake Erie College wrestling continues the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) portion of their schedule with a dual against Tiffin University.     

LAST TIME OUT: In their last outing, the Storm picked up their first GLIAC win against Ashland University, 27-20.  Nick Boggs, Conner Nemec, Nicholas Vandermeer, Zev Green and Noah Hosking all picked up decision victories at their respected weights.  Evan Rosborough picked up a third period pin.  The Eagles forfeited the 125-pound bout. 

SERIES HISTORY: This marks the fifth meeting between the Storm and the Dragons.  The Storm is 2-1-1 all-time against Tiffin.  Last season, the Storm bested the Dragons 33-15 at the GLIAC Championships.

OPPOSITION POSITION: The Dragons are 2-4 in duals this season.  They recently went 0-3 at the Ranger Duals, falling to McKendree University, St. Cloud State University and Augustana College.  Heavyweight Garrett Gray is currently ranked second in the country while 141-pounder Mike Screptock is ranked seventh.

GLIAC CHAMPIONSHIP: This year's GLIAC Championship is determined through round robin duals featuring Lake Erie, Ashland, Tiffin and the University of Findlay.  Currently, the Storm is the lead at with a 1-0 record.  This is the first GLIAC dual for Tiffin. 

STORM IN THE RANKINGS: The Storm check in at number 15 in the most recent DII Wrestling Coaches Association Poll. 

ROSBOROUGH LEADS DII IN PINS: 197-pound sophomore Evan Rosborough ranks first among all Division-II wrestlers with 10 pinfalls against other Division-II wrestlers this season.  Overall, Rosborough has 14 pins this year.
