 STORM HOSTS PITT JOHNSTOWN: The 9th-ranked Lake Erie College wrestling team hosts 5th-ranked University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown in their first home event of the regular season. 

LAST TIME OUT: The Storm recently finished seventh at the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) National Duals, featuring 16 of the top Division-II programs.  The Storm opened the event with a 47-(-1) win over the University of Central Missouri.  The win was the second shutout in program history and the largest margin of victory.  After falling to second-ranked St. Cloud State University, the Storm bounced back with a 27-14 win over 12th-ranked University of Findlay.  The Storm fell in their first dual of day two to third-ranked University of Nebraska-Kearney but defeated 12th-ranked Tiffin University 19-18 to place seventh.  Matt Vandermeer, Tyler Hughes and Evan Rosborough all went 4-1 at the event. 

SERIES HISTORY: The Storm is searching for its first win against the Mountain Cats in their sixth meeting. 

OPPOSITION POSITION: The Mountain Cats enter the dual ranked fifth in the country.  They finished third last weekend at the NWCA National Duals, picking up wins over McKendree University, Nebraska-Kearney and top-ranked Maryville University.  125-pounder Evan Link (8th), 184-pounder Travis McKillop (2nd) and heavyweight D.J. Sims (3rd) all appear in the national rankings. 

STORM IN THE RANKINGS: The Storm check in at number 9 in the most recent DII Wrestling Coaches Association Poll.  157-pounder Christian Baughman (5th), 165-pounder Matt Vandermeer (6th) and heavyweight Evan Loughman (8th) appear in the individual rankings. 

ROSBOROUGH NAMED REGIONAL WRESTLER OF THE WEEK: 197-pound junior Evan Rosborough was named Regional Wrestler of the Week for his performance at the NWCA National Duals. Rosborough finished the event with a 4-1 record.  He record pins in matches against Robert Schneider of the University of Central Missouri and Dalton Ishmal of the University of Findlay.  He also picked up a decision victory over VJ Giulio of St. Cloud State University who was ranked in his region.  The biggest win for Rosborough came on day two of the even t where he defeated two-time national champion and three-time national finalist Romero Cotton of the University of Nebraska-Kearny in sudden victory.
