PAINESVILLE, Ohio - The Lake Erie College wrestling team will compete at home for the first time in a dual setting as the #15-ranked Storm will play host to the #6 University of Pitt-Johnstown Mountain Cats on Friday (Jan. 12).
"This is a tough team we are facing on Friday," said Storm head coach Kevin Hoogenboom. "Pitt Johnstown is one of those teams that is always in the fight. It will be nice to have a home meet after two months on the road. It is our annual youth night and we are giving away $100 to a lucky fan, so we are expecting a big crowd. It could play a factor in the dual. The keys for us will be to wrestle a full seven minutes. We didn't perform up to our ability at national duals so we are looking to rebound and get back on track. I think our best wrestling is still ahead of us."
