Storm Drops One to West Virginia Wesleyan

BUCKHANNON, W. Va. (September 12, 2008) - Lake Erie College played once again without any substitutions and this time came up short , 4-1 against West Virginia Wesleyan College Saturday afternoon.

The Bobcats scored first in the 29th minute only to have the Storm's Katie Daratony (Dexter, Mich./Dexter) even the game at one with a score on the opposite end with an unassisted goal, which was her second of the season. West Virginia Wesleyan put two more on the board before the end of the half and then netted another in the 82nd minute to secure the win.

The Storm had just three shots in the game as compared to the Bobcats' 37, 15 of which were on goal. Storm freshman keeper Chelsea Gieson (Grants Pass, Ore./North Valley) totaled 11 saves.

Lake Erie (1-4) travels to Davis & Elkins on Sunday at 1 p.m.
