Storm Play to Scoreless Draw Against Malone

CANTON, Ohio-- The Lake Erie College women's soccer team (1-5-1, 0-2-1 GLIAC) played to a scoreless draw in double overtime against Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opponent Malone University at the Pioneer Soccer Field in Canton, Ohio on Friday (Sept. 21).

The Storm held the advantage in shots (17-3) and corners (11-2) for the match.

Junior Paige Nemec (Mantua, Ohio/Crestwood) led the Storm with six shots, three on goal. Classmate Megan Baldacci (Cavecreek, Ariz./Cactus Shadows) recorded three saves in the net. Eight members of the Storm played the full 110 minutes.

Ally Smith tallied three shots for the Pioneers, while Angie Nutial recorded seven saves in net.

The Storm return to action on Sunday at GLIAC newcomer Walsh University in Canton, Ohio at 1 p.m.
