FINDLAY, Ohio-- The Lake Erie College women's soccer team held down the fort on defense against the University of Findlay Friday (Oct. 11) but were unable to find the back of the net themselves, playing the Oilers to a double-overtime scoreless draw in a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) contest.

Findlay (6-4-2, 2-2-2 GLIAC) owned a 15-9 advantage in the shots but Storm goalkeeper Sarah Stroope (Oxford, Mich./Mich) was able to keep the ball out of the net, making eight saves for her second clean sheet of the season.

Elizabeth Awuah (Pickerington, Ohio/Pickerington Central) and Paige Nemec (Mantua, Ohio/Crestwood) led the Storm with four and three shots respectively.

The Storm is back on the pitch Sunday, traveling to Tiffin University for a GLIAC match-up.
