PEPPER PIKE, Ohio – The Lake Erie College women's soccer team was victorious today over Ursuline College, 3-0. With the win the Storm improves to 3-10-2 overall and with the loss the Arrows fall to 7-6-1 overall.
The Storm jumped out to a first half lead in the 33rd minute when Ashley Pryce (Stow, Ohio / Stow Munroe Falls) scored an unassisted goal, to give the Storm a 1-0 advantage.
Lake Erie added to their lead when Elizabeth Awuah (Pickerington, Ohio / Pickerington Central) found the back off of the net on a penalty kick, to give the Storm a 2-0 advantage. The Storm continued to pull away when Pryce scored her second goal of the game with less than 10 minutes remaining, to make the score 3-0 in favor of the Storm. Lake Erie continued to dominate and won the game 3-0.
In net for the Storm was Marissa Brannon (Concord, Oh / Lake Catholic) she faced 13 shots, seven of which were on goal, made seven saves, and allowed zero goals.
Lake Erie will be back in action Friday (October 23rd) when they travel to take on Ohio Dominican at 6 P.M.
