Storm Travels to Ashland, Tiffin for GLIAC Games (Preview)

PAINESVILLE, Ohio- Following the Storm's first loss of the year last weekend, the Lake Erie College's women's soccer team looks to rebound as they travel to play in two GLIAC matchups. The Storm will face the Ashland Eagles on Friday (Sept. 23) and the Tiffin Dragons on Sunday (Sept. 25).

Storm Report: The Storm enters the weekend with a 4-1 overall record after a 1-0 loss to Walsh on Sunday (Sept. 18).

GLIAC Honorable Mention: Two Storm players were named to the GLIAC Honorable Mention list for the week. On offense, Aleeya Clemons (Olean, NY / Olean) was named to the list following her four goal game against Salem international. On defense, Marissa Brannon (Concord, Ohio/Lake Catholic) made eight saves and allowed one goal in 135 minutes last week.

Series History: Lake Erie have faced Ashland and Tiffin nine times since 2009. The Storm has a record of 0-8-1 against the Eagles and a 1-7-1 record against the Dragons.

Opposition Position: Ashland enters the weekend with a 3-0-2 record overall. Tiffin will face Walsh before coming to Painesville. The Dragons currently have a 1-5 overall record.

Storm Forecast: Lake Erie will pause the GLIAC schedule and host nonconference rival Ursuline on Tuesday (Sept. 27).
