PAINESVILLE, Ohio- The Lake Erie College women's soccer team will return home to Jack Britt Memorial Stadium on Monday (Sept. 11) for a non-conference matchup with the Carlow University Celtics.
Storm Report: The Storm enter the non-conference finale with an 0-3 record overall and a 0-1 G-MAC record. Lake Erie fell in overtime 2-1 at Daemen on Friday (Sept. 8). Carley Kandel (Jeromesville, Ohio / Northwestern) scored the Storm's only goal in final two minutes of regulation before the Wildcats won on a penalty kick in overtime.
Opposition Position: Carlow comes to Ohio with a 2-0 overall record this season. The Celtics defeated Penn State-Beaver 10-0 in their last matchup. Carlow is outscoring their opponents 21-1 so far this season as a NAIA school. Malik Shumar leads the Celtics with five goals and two assists.
Series History: Lake Erie defeated the Celtics 3-0 last season in Pittsburgh as the teams met for the first time.
Storm Forecast: The Storm will resume Great Midwest play with a game at Findlay on Thursday (Sept. 14).
