Storm Defeated by Panthers

PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The Lake Erie College women's soccer team was in action today as they were defeated by Ohio Dominican, 3-0. 

The Panthers opened the scoring early in the game with a goal in the ninth minute to take a 1-0 lead.  The remainder of the first half was a scoreless battle, and the Storm entered the intermission behind, 1-0. 

At the half the Storm offense was led by Ashley Pryce (Stow, Ohio / Stow Munroe Falls) as she had the lone shot on goal. 

The Panther came out of the locker room ready to play as they tacked on a pair of goals in the second half.  The Storm continued to battle for the remainder of the game, but fell 3-0. 

Marissa Brannon (Concord, Ohio / Lake Catholic) was in goal for the Storm as she faced 22 shots, 11 of which were on goal and made eight saves. 

Lake Erie will be back in action (Oct. 19) when they travel to take on Ohio Valley with the game set to start at 1 p.m.
