PAINESVILLE, Ohio- The Lake Erie College women's soccer team will look to make one last push for the 2017 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Tournament as the Storm will host the Ursuline College Arrows on Tuesday (Oct. 24) at 7:00 PM.
Storm Report: Lake Erie is 5-10-1 overall and 4-8-1 in the conference this season. The Storm fell 1-0 in a close battle at Cedarville on Saturday (Oct. 21) afternoon. Carley Kandel (Jeromesville, Ohio / Northwestern) leads the Storm with seven goals. Lake Erie enters Tuesday tied for the eighth seed in the G-MAC with Findlay. Depending on the results of Tuesday's slate, Lake Erie could find themselves in the Great Midwest playoffs.
Opposition Position: Ursuline is 6-7-1 overall and 6-6 in the conference after a 3-1 loss at Cedarville. Steph Chlad is the Arrows' leading scorer with 11 goals scored this season. The Arrows have clinched a spot in the Great Midwest tournament.
Series History: The Storm and the Arrows have met three times on the pitch in the series. Ursuline won the first matchup 2-0 back in September. The Storm had won the previous two matchups.
Storm Forecast: Pending the conclusion of the season, Lake Erie could play a road game this weekend in the Great Midwest tournament.
