Storm Puts Streak to Test in Michigan (Preview)

PAINESVILLE, Ohio- The Lake Erie College volleyball team will travel up to Michigan this weekend with an eight game winning streak in their pocket. The Storm will go for nine straight with road matchups at Northwood on Friday (Sept. 23) and Hillsdale on Sunday (Sept. 25).

Storm Report: Lake Erie is 8-3 overall after winning eight straight matches following a 0-3 start. The team is 1-0 in the GLIAC so far as well. The Storm played in the Notre Dame/Ursuline Volleyball Tournament on Saturday. Lake Erie swept two matches on Saturday (Sept. 17) against Davis & Elkins and Ursuline, both in four sets.

GLIAC Honorable Mention: Crystal Kedroske (Dexter, Mich. / Dexter) was named to the GLIAC Honorable Mention List for last week. In the Storm's four wins, the sophomore outside hitter totaled 63 kills, six service aces and 59 digs for the Storm.

Series History: Lake Erie has faced off with the Northwood Timberwolves six times since the Storm's entrance to the GLIAC. Lake Erie has not won a match with Northwood thus far. The Storm have dropped ten straight matches to the Hillsdale Chargers.

Opposition Position: Northwood is off to a 7-3 start in the 2016 season and they have split the first two GLIAC matchups. The Timberwolves dropped a four set match to Grand Valley State last time out. Hillsdale brings a 7-2 overall record into the weekend. The Chargers were swept by Ferris State last weekend, for a 1-1 GLIAC mark.

Storm Forecast: The Storm will continue the road trip with a GLIAC matchup in Columbus on Tuesday (Sept. 27) at Ohio Dominican.
