Storm to Play in Midwest Region Crossover (Preview)

PAINESVILLE, Ohio- The Lake Erie College volleyball game will travel west to take part in the Mizuno Midwest Region Crossover featuring teams from the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC), Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) and the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

The Storm will face the University of Indianapolis on Friday at 2:30 PM CT. Lake Erie will play Truman State (10:00 AM CT) and Missouri-St. Louis (4 PM CT) on Saturday.

Storm Report: Lake Erie defeated the Notre Dame College Falcons in three sets on Tuesday (Oct. 11) at home. With the win over the Falcons, Lake Erie is now 12-7 overall.

GLIAC Honorable Mention: Freshman Brooke Peiffer (Lansing, Mich. / Holt) was named GLIAC Honorable Mention for the South Division. In two matches, Peiffer totaled 29 kills, 14 digs, one service ace and three blocks combined.

Series History: Of the three teams that the Storm is facing this weekend, they have only met the Missouri-St. Louis Tritons before. The Storm fell to the Tritons 3-1 last year at the Midwest Region Crossover.

Opposition Position: Indianapolis, Truman State and Missouri-St. Louis all play in the GLVC. The Greyhounds are 7-10 overall on the season. Truman State holds a 7-11 record this season while Missouri-St. Louis is 11-5 for the year.

Storm Forecast: Lake Erie will participate in a tri-match next Tuesday (Oct. 18) against Central State and Urbana on the campus of Central State.
