Huskies, Wildcats On Deck for Storm (Preview)

PAINESVILLE, Ohio- After tying the program record for wins on Tuesday; the Lake Erie College volleyball team has an opportunity to break that record with a win this weekend. The Storm travels to Michigan for the final time as a member of the GLIAC to face the Michigan Tech Huskies (Oct. 21) and the Northern Michigan Wildcats (Oct. 22).

Storm Report: After a split at the Central State tri-match, the Storm has a record of 13-11 for the year. The Storm defeated Central State 3-0 but fell to the Urbana Blue Knights 3-1 on Tuesday (Oct. 18). In the GLIAC, Lake Erie is 4-4.

GLIAC Honorable Mention: Crystal Kedroske (Dexter, Mich. / Dexter) was named GLIAC Honorable Mention for Week 7 of the season. In four matches for the Storm, Kedroske totaled 51 kills and 55 digs.

Series History: Lake Erie has faced off with the Huskies and the Wildcats six times in the history of the Storm in the GLIAC. Lake Erie has a 1-5 record against the Huskies, with a win coming in 2011. In six attempts, the Storm are winless against the Wildcats.

Opposition Position: Both the Huskies and the Wildcats played in the Mizuno Midwest Crossover last weekend with the Storm. After the weekend, the Huskies are 9-12 with a 4-4 conference record. Michigan Tech lost two of three matches at the Crossover. Northern Michigan won all three matches as they are 13-9 overall and 4-4 in the GLIAC.

Storm Forecast: Lake Erie returns home for a four game homestand, including another tri-match.
