The Lake Erie College volleyball program heads to Pennsylvania to face the Seton Hill University Griffins tomorrow, September 17. The Storm looks to earn its second win of the season against the 3-1 Griffins, who are also ranked no. four in the Atlantic Region. Tomorrow's match against Seton Hill marks the fifth opponent the Storm has played in the Atlantic Region, having already faced the number five, six, eight, and nine ranked teams.
Key players to watch for the Griffins include junior Viktoria Farian, who leads their squad offensively, averaging 4.31 kills per set and an average hitting percentage of .234. Defensively, sophomore Veronica Johns has been holding it down for Seton Hill, averaging 5.27 digs per set as a defensive specialist.
For the Storm, junior Courtney Rosebrook has been the most consistent offensive presence on the court, boasting a hitting percentage of .314 (2.10 kills per set) through 31 sets and eight matches total. Defensively, senior Moe Briggs leads the Storm with 101 digs, although freshman Kaylee Hiser earned more playing time this past weekend and is right behind her with 86 kills.
