Overall, the Storm women placed fifth out of eight teams with a combined time of 1:46:35.1.

"Our goal coming in was to run a controlled, intelligent race and we did that," said first-year head Coach Greg Lofdahl. "It was steamy out there, so we tried to lay off the fast early pace set by Edinboro in both races. DJ, Vince, and Brandon were around 25th-35th at halfway, and they ended up placing 16-19-22. I was very impressed with the freshmen on both sides, particularly George Lesnak and Aleea Volkman. Taylor Ritchie also ran a solid race and showed that she's vastly improved this season. We're a very young team on both sides and we showed good racing savvy for the first meet of the season."
