(NOVELTY, Ohio) – The cross country season came to an end today for Lake Erie with all three freshmen clocking personal records at the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday morning. The trio did a tremendous job as they beat their previous PR's by a combined 4:49.3 with each thin clad decreasing their time by over a minute.
Logan Carter turned in the best result on the day as he finished with a time of 26:46.4 to finish 56th in the individual standings. His previous best time was 28:06.2 for a difference of 1:19.8. He finished in the top half of the field with over 137 starting the race.
Conner Jeffers was behind him with a time of 31:31.1 to beat his old mark by 1:27.6. He finished 128th overall.
The biggest improvement came on the women's side with Natalie Thoss. She finished with a time of 26:48.8, over a two-minute improvement of her previous best of 28:50.8. She finished 110th overall in the women's field.
